Greenway Wellbeing Centre is initiated by Greenway Tenants Group to improve and maintain the overall health and wellbeing of Greenway tenants.
The centre regularly introduces educational sessions to the residents on-site (e.g. fall prevention program, quit smoking program, free legal aid session, free hearing test, etc.) Tenants are able to obtain medical information from the centre and if necessary, being referred to medical services from the Wellbeing Centre.
Greenway Wellbeing Centre gives all residents the opportunity to seek medical attention locally. All the residents can have a say to the contribution of evolvement (or improvement) for the Wellbeing Centre.
This is a collaborative project initiated by the Greenway Tenants Group Inc. and managed and operated by St George Community Housing to improve and maintain the overall health and wellbeing of Greenway residents.
The Wellbeing Centre is located on the ground floor of A Block and is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, between 10 am and 3 pm.
We currently have doctors available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We also have podiatry fortnightly and pathology services every Friday morning. Appointments for these services must be made at the Wellbeing Centre.
The Centre organises services, programs, and activities that promote good health. Services such as flu vaccinations, quit smoking and falls prevention, as well as diet sessions and how to manage asthma, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s. There are also free hearing tests.
Healthy activities such as a tai chi class and the walking club are available. In fact, there are over ten social clubs you can join from cooking to Mah-jong or the writer’s group to keep the brain active and expand your circle of friends.
All residents are encouraged to drop in to the Wellbeing Centre at least once a week to check on what sessions are available because these change from week to week, but rest assured there is something for everyone to keep you happy, healthy, and active.
